🫂AfroVisionaries: Learnin Labs (Grant Research & Writing)

AfroVisionaries Art Collective Present: Learning Labs - Grant Writing and Research Workshop

💎

Black Artists deserve better in the contemporary art space AND we need to look out for each other whenever we can. Learning Labs are here to help you expand your practice, secure funding, and bring your creative vision to life. This is a FREE workshop for all Black Artists, across the diaspora.

💎💎💎

We are entering a new paradigm in this vast world of art, with Generative Ai taking over in some prominent spaces, it’s imperative for us to have the knowledge that will not only uplift ourselves but our community too. Black voices are often underrepresented, undervalued, or overlooked. That’s why I’ve created a dedicated space for the kinfolk to gain the tools, confidence, and strategies needed to thrive.

💎💎💎💎

What you’ll gain:

  • A clear breakdown of how to find the right grants and opportunities for your work.

  • Guidance on how to craft a strong, compelling grant proposal.

  • Research strategies to discover open calls, residencies, and funding resources tailored to Black Artists.

  • Tips on building a sustainable practice while navigating the realities of the contemporary art world.

  • A supportive environment rooted in cultural understanding and collective growth.

This is more than just a workshop, it’s about equipping Black Artists with knowledge, resources, and community power to create lasting impact.

💎💎💎💎💎

Who it’s for:

Black Artists at all stages of their journey: emerging, mid-career, or established.

Creatives working in any discipline of contemporary art: painting, digital, performance, installation, sound, photography, design, and beyond.

The Kinfolk: members of the African & Black diaspora seeking opportunities to expand their artistic practice.
