BedStuy Guy // Gallery Artist // Educator

Hab Oh (aka Habilis Orian) is self-taught Multidisciplinary Artist and Educator. As a Native New Yorker, Hab’s body of work is heavily influenced by the city that raised him. His professional journey began in 2009, uploading webcomics to classic art platforms “deviantArt” and “drunkduck.com”.

Hab’s passion for mental wellness and Black American Culture led to the inception of Habtoons. A platform at the intersection of traditional, digital, and performance arts.

Habtoons, as a platform, aims to empower Black folks through animation, comics, illustrations, performance pieces, and an array of artistic mediums. Habtoons is bold, nostalgic, and offbeat — inspired by the provocative and unique art styles of the 1990s.

Hab’s work has been featured and showcases at RIVAA Gallery, The Art Hub, and other galleries and art institutions. He also dedicates his time to art education as a Teaching Artist for non-profit organizations across New York City.

In addition to original artworks, Hab also runs a YouTube Channel where you can watch his Livestreams, DA ART BLOC Podcast, and video essays.

A collage of nine images, six are colorful cartoon illustrations of diverse characters with distinct styles, and three are photographs of people, including a man with a beard and a woman with dark hair, seen in various settings.
A focused man with a beard and a black cap, wearing a black shirt with white stripe patterns, sitting outdoors near trees and a fence, with a building and parked cars in the background.
