WHO WE ARE

The AfroVisionaries, founded by artist Hab Oh, is a grassroots collective dedicated to uplifting and empowering Black Artists in every corner of the contemporary art world. Our mission is simple: provide opportunities, resources, and support that help Black Creatives thrive.

Through grant writing workshops, networking events, museum field trips, and beyond, The AfroVisionaries create pathways for growth while building a network rooted in mutual aid, collaboration, and collective success.

This is a space for all Black artists, whether you’re emerging or established, visual or performing, traditional or experimental. Together, we’re amplifying our voices, strengthening our presence, and making sure our culture continues to shine in today’s art space and beyond.

THIRD ROOT VALUES

Black Art is the definitive root to all knowledge, media, and entertainment. We aim to decolonize the art world through the bold, unapologetic, critical work we produce. We are radical thinkers, intuitive creators, culture-bearers, and educators. Whether an artist or art lover, uplifting the kinfolk is our number one priority.

These roots are the foundation of our core beliefs.

1. Collaboration // We rise together, creating spaces where Black Artistry is built on unity, shared knowledge, and collective empowerment.

2. Support // We uplift the kinfolk first. Centering care, resources, and mutual aid so no Black Artist stands alone.

3. Presence // We claim our rightful place in the art world: bold, unapologetically Black, and undeniable in our impact and legacy.
